You may have read the recent headlines about the White House softening it’s stance on medical marijuana enforcement. While it is undeniable that the war on drugs has left a bad taste in the public’s mouth, what it has not done is also clear: we still have talking heads making baseless claims about how Marijuana is a killer and how it is a gateway drug. Please…
You have probably heard the following, but I’m going to bring it up again: how many times a year do you hear about a man going on a killing rampage after smoking a joint? Do you ever hear about a guy who smoked so much he beat his wife or hurt his children in a moment of rage? In fact we all know that Marijuana makes you laugh, gives you the munchies, and for some of us pick up a guitar and write a tune.
I still can’t understand why anyone would take such a stance – for example, Charles Lane, who is now an expert on the benefits of the FDA and the dangers of Marijuana, writes this masterpiece Same old claims: Marijuana bad, Marijuana users Bad, FDA and big Pharma good.
